Exam Results Day Nerves!

I’m not sure of the thousands or millions others of you are feeling the same as me right now but in England and i think wales although I may be wrong it is alevel results day tomorrow and I am quite literally wetting myself! You know that feeling that when you think about something that you nervous/ excited/ happy/ worried about and you heart quite literally feels like it sinks to you stomach were it goes kind of tickly!? That's how i feel right now!! Agghhhh!!!! Sorry that was probably a really bad way of describing that but wow it’s hard to think straight right now.
If you don't hear from me for like a week or two, I have most likely failed!

I don't even know if it is normal to be this nervous? Wow
When I was doing my GCSE's for some reason I would cry either during or after the exam! But with my alevels I truly have no idea what to expect I can’t even prepare myself!!

The thing is as well my mum is working the night before results day and I want to open my results with my family so I'm going to travel an hour on the bus to college get my results in the envelope then travel back on the bus for another hour still not opening my results so I can open them in front of my parents!
If I get good results I will be over the moon and telling you all about it, on the other hand i might just disappear on of the face of the earth for a while:\

If any of you guys are awaiting you results tomorrow let me know how your feeling and coping or if you have already received results from exams or your years work let me know how you did and how it went, I would love to know...

Whoever is expecting any results soon I wish you the best of luck and well done if you have already received your results and you have done well or even if you haven't well done for trying!!
Don't forget to follow my blog for more updates if you enjoyed any of my posts and hopefully the next time I post I will be a very happy girl!
Seeya soon!

Too Thin or Too Fat?

Hi Guys!!

So I am always complaining to the people around me about my weight to the people around me- "why am I not skinny?", "I wish I had a smaller waist?", "why do my legs wobble? I have no thigh gap!”

Girls! We should not be like this!!! In the UK the average size of a woman is a size 16!! If your younger you have your whole life ahead of you when you have your own income if you want you can buy the healthy foods you need to eat, you can go out and be active when you want or you can join a gym!

Trust me I 100% know how it feels with all the pressure of the other people our age that seem to surround us with their skinny bodies or the boys with their 6 packs and perky bums! But don't let that take over your mind and let you feel less of a person with no confidence!! It has happened to me and I know how horrible it can feel! But I will do another blog post about confidence some time soon as I can empathise with you all that when you walk in a room of busy people your head falls ensuring not to make eye contact with anybody!

Due to a problem I have recently discovered with my chubby little body I have lost quite a bit of weight. I know it shouldn't have taken this to get me determined and motivated to lose more weight but seeing the results so far has given me more confidence. A year ago I went to prom and my hips were 42 inches and my waist was like 35 inches and that stuck throughout the year fluctuating bigger and smaller, but now within the space of 2 months I have a 30 inch waist and 37 inch hips! (Still the chunky arms and legs but I'm working on it)

The reason for this blog is to let all you insecure less confident people know you DO NOT have to change yourself for anybody! be happy with who you are as everybody is different and no matter what you look like whether you are supposedly 'overweight' or even if you don't have the latest trainers or your hairs not long enough it does not define you as a person. Cliché I know but it is what you are on the inside...

I hope this has at least made one of you feel better about yourself today, if so let me know if it has in the comments below

If you like this or any of my other posts please comment and/or subscribe to let me know you’re out there, haha.

I Wish I Had Her Hair...

Now I think all us girls are all guilty of browsing around on the internet, looking when we are at school or even when we are shopping we see one of those girls with remarkably perfect hair and then that little voice creeps in our head and says... "I wish I had hair like that!"

I know celebrities have a big influence on how we try to look, there's no denying that some say its good and some say its bad, but I'm not here to change your mind about what you think, merely to discuss yet another dilemma of us young girls (no age or gender discrimination all you boys and older folk out there that may feel this way too!?)

For me I have two celebrity inspirations for the way "I wish" my hair fell graciously around my chubby, freckle filled face...
Cheryl Cole who I think we all know well for being beautiful, and

Sam Faiers you will soon realise how I think Sam Faiers' hair and figure are AMAZING!! If you don't know who Sam Faiers is she a reality TV star in the UK and she is stunning!

My mum is a hairdresser so in theory you would think I'm an amazing hairstylist (maybe not but just go with it). The problem is I was born with that super tight naturally curly hair that instead of it looking like the beautiful beach waves or curls we see it looks like i have been dragged through a bush backwards! (Okay, maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration) but you see my problem!

If any of you guys have the same problems as me let me know in the comments below!! If you haven't discovered them already Pinterest and Youtube have AMAZING hair tutorials and ideas for ALL hair types, so go over and check them out.

If you like any of my posts please subscribe, like or leave a message in the comments below with any questions or ideas of posts you would like me to do. I'm thinking of doing a 25 facts about me post but not to sure many of you will be interested in that yet so I'm open to any ideas!

Right I'm done rambling now, haha.

Applying to University or College

First things first, I am aware this blog post may not be for all of you so here is a link to another bog I have written all about T.V programs that have caught my eye- http://www.melittleleigh.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/tv-that-tickles-my-fancy.html

Now I promised this post as my previous post but if you read my blog you will be aware I got over excited about going to the seaside (yes, I am 17 years old, haha)
anyways this is all about university/ college... woohoo!

If like me you are going back into your second year at college or you just wish to go to university or even if your starting college, you are probably feeling the stress of making the right choices of what uni/ college to apply to or what exact subjects you should take!?

I'm no expert so please don't follow what I say like I'm a professional I'm just sharing with you how I have been approaching the matter and how it has helped me so far.

At university I want to study journalism and before I started college and chose my A-levels I ordered a load of university prospectuses and looked at what grades and subjects they required, this obviously helped me choose which subjects I am now doing in college. Unless you understand the way the university write which grades and subjects they require you to have I strongly advise you to ask somebody who knows and understands to go through them with you as I thought university would only accept me if I took A-levels at college not a BTEC but I was very wrong. I ended up taking A-levels in media, ICT, English literature and language and law. I won't lie they are very hard to get used to as they are a big jump from GCSE but they are very interesting and the atmosphere of the classroom is very different.

Once you are in college the best thing you can do is take notes, more notes and even more notes!! Trust me these will be your saviour when it come to revising for exams. A way I have found to take really good notes that stick in my head is using case cards. You can make them yourself by writing and cutting paper into smaller squares or they are available to buy from different stationary shops or Asda for about £1. Boy, I wish I knew to use these when doing my GCSE's! When you have written different terms and definitions or diagrams on your case cards look through them every day or every other day it only takes 5 minutes whilst you on car journeys or just before you go to bed then when you feel ready ask your mum, dad, brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, uncle whoever to test you on them once or twice a week and I promise you it works!

Now I have completed my first year at college I know when I go back in September I have to start applying to university so to get ahead of the game I have been doing my own homework over the 3 months I have had off of college. Looking at undergraduate open days which if like me you didn't know you have to book a place to go to the open day (I am yet to visit one but have booked places). Decide what subject you want to study first then the location. If you want to go far please consider the costs I know there are various funding and bursaries available but just remember you do have to pay them back. Once you have decided what you want to do and a rough idea of the location of where you want to go the UCAS website is your best friend! This will tally up which universities are best for you and which universities are better for different things. Another great website I have found is which but I will leave links to them below.

As for applying to university they require a personal statement and like a CV you want to stand out from the rest so getting really involved in what you wish to study is perfect for this. A friend of mine wishes to study Primary Education in university so these holidays she has had work experience in her old primary school. As for myself I have started to write a blog. I have always want to write a blog but never had the confidence to do it but now I enjoy it so much and wish I had started years ago and I hope to use this for my portfolio for uni. My passion and love for writing I can use for my education.
"Once you have your education nobody can take it away from you!"
Finally I am not too sure about this but I think universities base their decision of whether to accept you into their university or not relies on your predicted grades. Two years in college goes by so fast I cannot stress this to you enough! I know your late teenage years many of you want to go to as many parties, nightclubs and be with your friends 24/7 but as well as having fun there needs to be a strong balance between your education and social life, once you have your education nobody can take it away from you!

I know this has been a really long post and sorry if you got bored or lost interest but as much as my parents helped me I would love to have heard from someone who was currently going through the process of college/university.

If you have any questions or any requests for any other posts I am more than happy to answer your questions and consider your requests. If you liked this post please feel free to subscribe.

Have a lovely weekend

T.V. that Tickles my Fancy

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Horror_Story
Around the age of 13 or 14 everybody I knew got into watching the latest horror movies Insidious, Paranormal Activity, The Last Exorcism, yep you name it I've avoided it! But... (a revelation coming) After hearing so much about American Horror Story and flicking past it every time I look for yet another romcom on Netflix I decided to take a big step (wasn't too big) and click to watch episode 1!!

I LOVE IT!!!
My yummy tea, mmm..

Now every morning I wake up whilst everybody else is still in bed, I make my camomile and spiced apple tea (I recommend its sooo good and the packaging is really pretty), with my knees tucked up on the sofa, watching episode after episode of American Horror Story!
just want to add please don't watch this if you are easily scared, it is rated 18 in the UK so know your limits I don't wish for anybody to get any nightmares or turning around every 2 seconds- I know the feeling!

My next T.V pick is Murdered by my Boyfriend. I don't know if this is available to watch outside of the UK but hand on my heart it is the BEST drama I have ever seen in my life!
I don't know if it will have the same affect on other girls as it did me and I don't know how you boys would feel when you watch it but it definitely pulled on my heart strings and opened my eyes to how many relationships really are. Based on a true story it follows how a teenage girl goes to a party, meets a handsome older boy who she then becomes pregnant by and he becomes abusive- physically, sexually and psychologically. It is definitely a must see please watch it I will leave a link below, let me know what you think!

Finally Hollyoaks is really heating up at the moment people! There's the domestic abuse between Maxine and Patrick that has just been announced to the whole village!! The usual scheming with Mercedes involved along with Freddie, and to top it off Cindy's seeing dead people! I mean, what more could you want from a soap these days?

I have kind of realised after writing this post I seem to watch programs that have relationships with abuse in them. That's kinda ironic? Well, if you have any suggestions based on these programs that I may like please let me know in the comments below as I have a lot of spare time on my hands.

So that is what I'm loving on T.V at the moment I know this post may be limited and a bit boring for some of you as I'm not 100% sure what programs are available outside the UK or what you are interested in but I would love to know so please let me know in the comments and if you have enjoyed this post or others that I have posted please hit the subscribe button. Also I am putting a post up about universities today so if your interested don't forget to check that out!!

I will stop rambling now :/
